Le Mas de Gramat is a charming French property in the department of the Lot next to the Dordogne, surrounded by the most stunning country side on the out skirts of the village of Payrac with its restaurants and shops, Gourdon and Soulliac are within easy reach both are very attractive towns with many shops and restaurants, with many different events going on during the year.

The property is situated in an elevated position with amazing far reaching views over an attractive south facing garden, the swimming pool 10 x 5m is surrounded by a patio with loungers for our guests. There will be a tray of tea or a glass of wine on your arrival.

The owners Dennis and Rita Cruttenden pride themselves on a first class Chambre d’Hote of charm. All of the bedrooms are of first class furnishings and well decorated for your comfort and all with their own facilities. The public areas are also well furnished and very comfortable, this all goes along to make your holiday in the Lot/Dordogne as good as it can get.

Breakfast is a morning feast, with as many cups of tea or coffee as you would like, along with a table loaded with fruit, cereal, yogurt, home made jam, boiled eggs, cheese, ham, French bread, croissant, pain au chocolate, etc. People return year after year and are always delighted to recommend us to their friends and family.

Rocamadour, the second most visited place after Paris, with its Medieval buildings built in the rocks, only a short distance from Le Mas de Gramat. Sarlat in the Dordogne has a beautiful Medieval town and one of the best markets in France to visit, this is a must, also Domme once again on the Dordogne river is another beauty spot not to be missed, while visiting Domme you can also drive very easily along to La Roc and Beynac which are on the Dordogne and you are able to take a boat trip along a most beautiful stretch of the river. One of the most popular pastimes for the family is a canoeing trip down the Lot or Dordogne river, this is great fun. Brive is a must for the ladies for shopping and also a lovely old town to visit, this is about 40 min away by car.
